Love of Money

Love of Money
Money gives us the ability to obtain the things or situations we desire. With money we can buy the security, power, recognition, stimulus, or whatever else we think we need in order to find fulfillment.

Money itself is not evil, but the immoderate love of it is, or an over eager desire after it, or an excessive delight in it, is the cause of much evil, both of sin and punishment.

For the love of money is the root of all evil – Of course there are all kinds of evils and some are beside the love of money, for example: the evils growing out of ambition, and intemperance, and debasing lusts, and of the hatred of God and of goodness.

Our love of money not only causes us to make decisions that are not in our own best interests, it also leads to usury—the charging of interest on a loan.

Society is caught in a vicious circle. Our belief that material well-being is the path to inner well-being underlies our love of money. Our love of money leads us to want to make more money out of the money we have, and so to the charging of interest on loans. The charging of interest leads to the need for continual economic growth, and to the need to produce and sell more and more superfluous products. And to keep us buying all these products we have to be kept believing that material well-being is the path to inner-well-being.Thus do we remain locked in to a set of out-dated assumptions. This is the root of our collective cultural hypnosis.

To solve the many problems facing us we have to tend the root cause—our addiction to the world of things and the love of money to which it leads. This is the virus in our mind, the root cause of our malignant tendencies.

Healthy Beer Drinking

Healthy Beer Drinking
By Alex Santoso, Ph.D.

http://www.askmen.com/

1)Take moderate amounts of alcohol may be good for the heart.
2)Beer can also be good for your brain.
3)The French, who drink lots of red wine and have the highest per capita alcohol consumption, actually have one of the lowest rates of coronary heart disease mortality.
4)Beer can also be unhealthy.
5)To make matters worse, heavy drinking can elevate the levels of NADH, which can lead to the accumulation of fat in the liver in a condition called fatty liver. A liver clogged with fat is not only less efficient in performing its duties, it can also lead to a reduction in the distribution of oxygen and nutrients to the liver's cells.
6)Don't drink on an empty stomachEating a substantial meal before you go out and drink can actually help slow the absorption of alcohol. A full stomach may also help you cut down on the amount of alcohol you can drink.
7)Protect your liverAllow your liver to recover by not drinking alcohol every day -- in fact, have as many alcohol-free days as possible between drinking.

Beer and alcohol are very important parts of a man's life -- many of us can't imagine life without our beloved drink of choice -- but remember that drinking too much can lead to ruins.

U.S. Downturn Dragging World Into Recession

U.S. Downturn Dragging World Into Recession
Report Says Global Economy Will Shrink for First Time Since 1940s

By Anthony Faiola
Washington Post Staff Writer
Monday, March 9, 2009

Source: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/03/08/AR2009030801216.html

The World Bank also cautioned that the cost of helping poorer nations in crisis would exceed the current financial resources of multilateral lenders. Such aid could prove critical to political stability as concerns mount over unrest in poorer nations, particularly in Eastern Europe, generated by their sharp reversal of fortunes as private investment evaporates and global trade collapses.

In its report, released ahead of a major summit of finance ministers in London this week, the World Bank called on developed nations struggling with their own economic routs to dedicate 0.7 percent of the money they spend on stimulus programs toward a new Vulnerability Fund to help developing countries.

The report predicted that the global economy will shrink this year for the first time since the 1940s, reducing earlier estimates that emerging markets would propel the world to positive growth even as the United States, Europe and Japan tanked. The dire prediction underscored what many are calling a mounting crisis within a crisis, as the downturn that started in the wealthy nations of the West washes over developing countries through a pullback in investment, trade and credit. Despite the United States' position as the epicenter of the crisis, investors are flocking to U.S. Treasury bills and the dollar, squeezing developing nations out of global credit markets.

"We need to react in real time to a growing crisis that is hurting people in developing countries," World Bank President Robert B. Zoellick said in a statement. Action is needed by governments and multilateral lenders "to avoid social and political unrest," he said.
The report said that 94 out of 116 developing countries have been hit by economic slowdowns. The World Bank projected that the economic crisis will push around 46 million people into poverty in 2009 through job and wage cuts, as well as declining flows of remittances, the money that foreign workers send to their families. Net private capital flows to emerging markets are plunging, set to fall to $165 billion this year -- or 17 percent of their 2007 levels. Falling demand in the West is sparking the sharpest drop in world trade in 80 years, sending sales of the products and commodities of poorer nations spiraling down, the report said.

That decline is touching off a wave of job losses. Cambodia has lost 30,000 jobs in the garment industry. In India, more than half a million jobs vanished in the last three months of 2008, including cuts in the gem, jewelry, auto and textile industries, according to the World Bank.

As a result, the report estimates that at least 98 countries may have problems financing at least $268 billion in public and private debt this year. It noted a worsening in market conditions could raise that figure as high as $700 billion. Additionally, only one quarter of vulnerable developing countries, the World Bank said, have the ability to launch their own stimulus programs or to independently finance measures such as job-creation or safety-net programs.

To help them, multilateral lenders will need to dig deep. The World Bank remains well financed and is positioned to almost triple spending to $35 billion this year. But it warned the scope of the need in the developing world will exceed the combined ability of major multilateral lenders, and it called on governments in major nations and the private sector to pitch in more.

For instance, its sister organization, the International Monetary Fund, recently received $100 billion more from Japan but is still asking more affluent nations to come up with an additional $150 billion to replenish its rapidly diminishing funds. While the World Bank aims to reduce global poverty largely through long-term projects in the developing world, the IMF is charged with offering bigger, more immediate bailouts to countries on the verge of economic collapse. The list of countries fitting that description has soared in recent months.

In November alone, the IMF parceled out $50 billion to nations in crisis -- the most the institution has ever spent in a single month. With more nations, particularly in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, facing serious trouble, the IMF is preparing to hand out tens of billions more. It is hoping to raise more funds from Western nations and other cash-rich countries such as China and those in the Middle East.

The concern now, however, is that the scope of the crisis may be so vast that even an extra $150 billion may not enough. Some fear that nations in Western Europe such as Austria, Ireland and Spain -- believed to have graduated from IMF lifelines decades ago -- may soon require bailouts, taking funds that would have been spent on poorer nations. It could also prove difficult to raise more money from hard-hit countries including the United States and Britain, where politicians and citizens may decide that charity begins at home.

"I'm worried about what happens when you see that a Greece or an Ireland that might need bailouts," said Simon Johnson, an MIT economics professor and former IMF chief economist. "Where is the money going to come from?"

But it is essential that they go with the flow and seize opportunities and take adventures – this year is going to be important for them. A lot of Rats may have dreamt of travel in 2009 but were unable to take trips either due to financial or work commitments. This year will be so different! Travel will feature strongly for many and if there is dream destination in mind, it may become a reality during 2010. February and March can bring interesting work offers, while June to August and December will bring happy social occasions. Romantically, September and October bring tempting offers for single Rats, while those who are attached will find the summer most special. It is essential for all persons born under this sign to be extra thoughtful and caring throughout the year – an inadvertent remark or gesture could lead to discord with loved ones.

4 Things Guys Notice Instantly

4 Things Guys Notice Instantly

http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/sex/4-things-guys-notice-instantly-545696/

1. Your Smile
Does it seem sweet and genuine? Does it seem awkward and forced? Does it seem like you ate a sesame-seed and parsley salad for lunch based on what’s lodged between every single one of your teeth?

2. Your Hair
Guys have no idea what split ends are, and if you mention roots, they just think of the band. But they do look to see if your hair looks 1. soft and 2. as though it would smell good. So don’t request “The Gosselin” at the salon, and wash it every so often. That’s all guys ask.

3. Your Cleavage
Newsflash: Dudes like to look at your chest. Now, that’s not to say they think all women should unbutton their shirts to their bellybuttons at funerals. (Though really, who are guys to judge?) But they will notice how you’re showing off what you’ve got.

4. Your Skin
You know that blemish you’ve been obsessing over all day because it’s so huge? Chances are guys won’t even notice. What will they notice? If you look like a jaundiced Oompa-Loompa because of overenthusiastic tanning.

Revelation of Swiss bank accounts

Revelation of Swiss bank accounts

This is so shocking.... If black-money- deposits was an Olympics event..... India would have won a gold medal hands down. The second best Russia has 4 times lesser deposit. U..S. is not even there in the counting in top five!

India has more money in Swiss banks than all the other countries combined!
Recently, due to international pressure, the Swiss government agreed to disclose the names of the account holders only if the respective governments formally asked for it.. Indian government is not asking for the details...... ..any marks for guessing why?

We need to start a movement to pressurize the government to do so! This is perhaps the only way, and a golden opportunity, to expose the high and mighty and weed out corruption!
Please read on.......and forward to all the honest Indians to...! ..like somebody is forwarding to you........and build a ground-swell of support for action!

Is India poor, who says? Ask the Swiss banks. With personal account deposit bank of $1,500 billion in foreign reserve which have been misappropriated, an amount 13 times larger than the country's foreign debt, one needs to rethink if India is a poor country?

DISHONEST INDUSTRIALISTS, scandalous politicians and corrupt IAS, IRS, IPS officers have deposited in foreign banks in their illegal personal accounts a sum of about $1500 billion, which have been misappropriated by them.

1. This amount is about 13 times larger than the country's foreign debt.

2. With this amount 45 crore poor people can get Rs 1,00,000 each. This huge amount has been appropriated from the people of India by exploiting and betraying them. Once this huge amount of black money and property comes back to India , the entire foreign debt can be repaid in 24 hours. After paying the entire foreign debt, we will have surplus amount, almost 12 times larger than the foreign debt.

3. If this surplus amount is invested in earning interest, the amount of interest will be more than the annual budget of the Central government..

4. So even if all the taxes are abolished, then also the Central government will be able to maintain the country very comfortably.

Some 80,000 people travel to Switzerland every year, of which 25,000 travel very frequently. 'Obviously, these people won't be tourists. They must be travelling there for some other reason,' believes an official involved in tracking illegal money. And, clearly, he isn't referring to the commerce ministry bureaucrats who've been flitting in and out of Geneva ever since the World Trade Organization (WTO) negotiations went into a tailspin!

Just read the following details and note how these dishonest industrialists, scandalous politicians, corrupt officers, cricketers, film actors, illegal sex trade and protected wildlife operators, to name just a few, sucked this country's wealth and prosperity. This may be the picture of deposits in Swiss banks only. What about other international banks?

Black money in Swiss banks -- Swiss Banking Association report, 2006 details bank deposits in the territory of Switzerland by nationals of following countries:

TOP FIVE

1. INDIA $1,456 BILLION

2. RUSSIA $470 BILLION

3. U.K. $390 BILLION

4. UKRAINE $100 BILLION

5. CHINA $96 BILLION

( No wonder China beats us Economically – Their Politicians work for their country – our politicians work for themselves)

Now do the maths - India with $1,456 billion or $1.4 trillion has more money in Swiss banks than rest of the world combined. Public loot since 1947:

Can we bring back our money? It is one of the biggest loots witnessed by mankind -- the loot of the Aam Aadmi (common man) since 1947, by his brethren occupying public office. It has been orchestrated by politicians, bureaucrats and some businessmen.

The list is almost all-encompassing. No wonder, everyone in India loots with impunity and without any fear... What is even more depressing in that this ill-gotten wealth of ours has been stashed away abroad into secret bank accounts located in some of the world's best known tax havens? And to th! at extent the Indian economy has been stripped of its wealth. Ordinary Indians may not be exactly aware of how such secret accounts operate and what are the rules and regulations that go on to govern such tax havens.

However, one may well be aware of 'Swiss bank accounts,' the shorthand for murky dealings, secrecy and of course pilferage from developing countries into rich developed ones.

In fact, some finance experts and economists believe tax havens to be a conspiracy of the western world against the poor countries. By allowing the proliferation of tax havens in the twentieth century, the western world explicitly encourages the movement of scarce capital from the developing countries to the rich. In March 2005, the Tax Justice Network (TJN) published a research finding demonstrating that $11.5 trillion of personal wealth was held offshore by rich individuals across the globe.

The findings estimated that a large prop! ortion of this wealth was managed from some 70 tax havens. Further, augmenting these studies of TJN, Raymond Baker -- in his widely celebrated book titled ‘Capitalism’s Achilles Heel:

Dirty Money and How to Renew the Free Market System' -- estimates that at least $5 trillion have been shifted out of poorer countries to the West since the mid-1970.

It is further estimated by experts that one per cent of the world’s population holds more than 57 per cent of total global wealth, routing it invariably through these tax havens. How much of this is from India is anybody’s guess.

What is to be noted here is that most of the wealth of Indians parked in these tax havens is illegitimate money acquired through corrupt means. Naturally, the secrecy associated with the bank accounts in such places is central to the issue, not their low tax rates as the term 'tax havens’ suggests. Remember Bofors and how India could not trace the ultimate beneficiary of those transactions because! of the secrecy associated with these bank accounts?

I am a promoter of MLM company

I am a promoter of MLM company, I am just quoting my observation and learning.

#1 : MLM company are great motivational company. They are able to organise in such a way, to ask those people who had succeeded from the mid level or higher level, in a kind of hierarchy level, to come and give a speech of their success story and sharing, and also imparting some selling techniques to the floor. Free sales lesson & motivation you could get it here.

#2 : MLM company had a educational system in place. Just follow their system and you be successful. They had a comprehensive system, like listing down your contacts, family members, friends, friends contacts. Very interesting, is that even an idiot who does not know about sales and marketing could also be successful by just doing accordingly to their system.

#3 : MLM company make you rich by preaching Financial Freedom, and they do compensate you well, when you reach certain sales target and level e.g. car funding & house funding if you maintain your sales at certain level or achieve beyond it. They even give you free trips if you are qualified after hitting certain targets at certain time period. This really push you to do more, unlike working for people, you have less carrot in the workplace compared to MLM.

#4 : MLM company is thriving with those who are fed up with their current jobs, or those people who are having financial problems or are in dire straits. They made very good story teller, if they are successful at the later stage, and it is really motivating to hear what they had gone through and made it to the top.

#5: MLM requires you to network, the deeper the network, the better you are, the more horizontal network you had, the broader and more successful you could be in this MLM business.

#6 : MLM works by having a portion of commission derived from your down lines. This is a kind of passive income derivation, after you had setup and build your people network. So, all in all, MLM is great platform for those who like to be their own business and also very low start-up cost (the most is a few hundred dollars to sign-up and cost of their training package). As I mentioned before, I am not trying to promote MLM marketing here, as myself is not any of those successful MLM personnel.

I find that some people can succeed in it and some, no matter how hard they had tried, they really can't fit in. I also learn that, it take a lot of commitment of time, passion and perseverance if really wanted to consider this MLM as a business opportunities.

4 types of personalities - what is your personality?

By Dr. Hellen Fisher

THE EXPLORER
-People quickly like most Explorers. Generous and sunny, they tend to be playful, sensual, sometimes hedonistic, often unpredictable, and regularly amusing.
-Explorers have more energy than most people.
-They are generally not interested in routine social or business events.

THE BUILDER
-Calm, affable, and people oriented, the Builder’s personality is influenced by the serotonin system.

THE DIRECTOR

- Directors make close friends.
- Directors are the least socially skilled of the four types.
-

THE NEGOTIATOR
-Negotiators instinctively know what others are thinking and feeling. They artfully read facial expressions, postures, gestures, and tone of voice.

Power of Business Cards

"10 Powerful Networking Tips Using Business Cards"
by Carl E. Reid

Do you or can you carry your resume everywhere you go?

1. Never leave home without them. Before leaving home, your checklist should be expanded to include business cards, as part of "do I have my wallet/money, house keys, driver's license'"

2.Insert a business card when mailing bill payments. Bills contain advertisements. Why can't you advertise your skills or services the same way' Insert a business card with your payment.

3. Use proper business card etiquette. Whenever you give a business card, ask for a business card. When given a business card, don't just take it and place it in your pocket. Make the person feel important by looking at their card for a few seconds.

4. Be generous. Give business cards out to everyone, including family and friends.

5. Ask for referrals. When giving a business card, people feel more comfortable when you ask; 'I would appreciate a referral, if you know anyone that could use my services'.

6. Maximize every "per chance" meeting. You never know when you might meet someone who can help you. Family or friends social events could produce unexpected encounters with people. Don't discount those events.

7. Place yourself at the right place at the right time. Have you been to a job fair or business conference and been disappointed with the networking results'

8. Use "In Your Face" follow up. Today's economic climate dictates you might be competing with 20, 50, 100 or more other people for the same position or contract. It's quite a task for people to keep track of each individual meeting. So it's up to you to give a person a reason to call you back. Immediately after a meeting snail mail a hand written note thanking the person for their time. Insert your business card. Now you're in the driver's seat in standing out from other people. If you get no response, do it again. Patience and persistence pays off.

9. Use promotions to promote YOU, Inc.

10. Brand yourself with a slogan.

Understanding Investments

Understanding Investments

Stock
A magical piece of paper that is worth $33.75 until the moment you buy it. It will then be worth $8.50.
Bond
What you had with your spouse until you pawned his/her golf clubs to invest in Amazon.com.
Broker
The person you trust to help you make major financial decisions. Please note the first five letters of this word spell "Broke".
Bear
What your trade account and wallet will be when you take a flyer on that hot stock tip your secretary gave you.
Bull
What your broker uses to explain why your mutual funds tanked during the last quarter.
Margin
Where you scribble the latest quotes when you're supposed to be listening to your manager's presentation.
Short Position
A type of trade where, in theory, a person sells stocks he doesn't actually own. Since this also only ever works in theory, a short position is what a person usually ends up being in (i.e. "The rent, sir? Hahaha, well, I'm a little short this month.").
Commission
The only reliable way to make money on the stock market, which is why your broker charges you one.
Yak
What you do into a pail when you discover your stocks have plunged and your broker is making a margin call.

NEVER LAUGH AT A CHINESE

A Chinese man walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the loan officer. He tells the loan officer that he is going to China on business for two weeks and needs to borrow $5,000.
The bank officer tells him that the bank will need some form of security for the loan, so the Chinese man hands over the keys to a new Ferrari parked on the street in front of the bank. He produces the title and everything checks out.

The Loan officer agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan. The bank's president and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at the Chinese for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a $5,000 loan.An employee of the bank then drives the Ferrari into the bank's underground garage and parks it there.

Two weeks later, the Chinese returns, repays the $5,000 and the interest, which comes to $15.41.The loan officer says, 'Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multi-millionaire. What puzzles us is why you would bother to borrow $5,000? The Chinese replies: 'Where else in New York City can I park my car for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there safely when I return.'

Never laugh at a Chinese!
